Next week, I will be one of the photographers featured at Harvery Milk Photo Center’s monthly lecture series! The opening reception for the group show Alternate Realities: Mixed Media Photography Experiments from CCSF on September 11th was a celebratory success! With a great turnout, plenty of wine and food and Modern Times Bookstore as a very accommodating venue, we were able to enjoy the rewards of extending our efforts beyond the class and putting on a show in the community. We also got media coverage from The Guardsman both online and in print. The work will be up until October 31st and some of the pieces are for sale at Modern Times. Continue reading

I am very excited to announce that my book Dreamscapes is now available at Needles & Pens, a DIY shop at 16th St. & Guerrero in SF! I dropped off handmade copies earlier this week for folks to pick up and enjoy. This is my first time having my work for sale in a shop! My classmate from Design 101 at CCSF suggested I bring them there and I decided to do so. This was originally my final project but it now lives on at Needles & Pens- so treasure your own copy today before they run out! Thanks!
CCSF is putting on multiple exhibits honoring their 75th anniversary including shows at CCSF, SF Camerawork and Rayko Photo Center starting this month. Congratulations CCSF Photo Department! There is lots of information about the show available. I am thrilled to have 3 of my photos (including the one above) featured in the online gallery of submitted work, a large and exciting array of talent and passion showcasing images from students, faculty and staff of the past 75 years.
I am very excited to announce that I was selected as a finalist for CCSF Photo Department’s Barbara Stewart Memorial Scholarship with this photo! This year’s call was for Self-Portraits. This work is on display Dec 5- Dec 21 at Gallery Obscura along with the winner and other finalists. You can also check out a slideshow online, including all of the submissions.
